Logo Digitization

Logo Digitization Explained

What is Logo Digitization

Logo digitization is the first step in preparing your design for machine embroidery. It is the process of translating your graphic file, such as a JPG, PNG, or PDF, into a stitch file that embroidery machines can read.

How the Process Works

  1. File review and translation
Our digitizer reviews your logo and plans how it will sew on the garment instead of simply tracing the artwork.
  2. Stitch mapping
Every stitch is mapped by hand, including direction, density, stitch length, start and stop points, and underlay that supports the top stitches.
  3. Color assignment
Each color in your logo is matched to a Madeira Polyneon thread color for consistent results.
  4. Proofing
A digital proof or a physical stitch out sample is created for approval before full production.

Why Digitization Matters

  • Clean edges and readable text at embroidery size
  • Correct coverage so shirt color does not show through
  • Smoother fill areas with fewer thread breaks
  • Consistent logo appearance across polos, hats, jackets, and other items

Future Reorders

Once your logo is digitized, it is stored in our system for future use. Reorders and new products using the same logo do not require the digitizing fee again, as long as the design size and layout stay the same.
