Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions regarding artwork preparation, materials, production times, and project specifications across all our physical and digital services.
What file formats and setup specs are required for print files?
For the best print clarity and color accuracy, we recommend:
- Format: High resolution PDF (preferred), packaged Adobe Illustrator (.AI), InDesign (.INDD), or Photoshop (.PSD).
- Color Mode: CMYK mode. Files sent in RGB or Pantone spot colors will be converted to CMYK process color.
- Resolution: 300 DPI at actual final output dimensions.
- Bleeds: Standard 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) bleed on all four sides with critical text kept at least 0.125 inch inside the cut line (safety zone).
- Fonts: Convert all text to outlines or curves to avoid font substitution errors.
What paper stocks and finishes are available?
We stock a full line of commercial text and cover stocks suited for cards, brochures, flyers, booklets, and presentation folders:
- Standard card stocks from 100# cover up to heavy 14pt and 16pt cardstock.
- Text weight sheets including 70# uncoated, 80# gloss or matte text, and 100# gloss text.
- Finishes include High Gloss UV coating, smooth matte or dull, satin, and writable uncoated finishes.
What is the standard production turnaround time for print orders?
Standard print orders generally take about 5 to 10 working days following final proof approval. Production begins once your digital proof is officially approved.
Do I receive a proof before full production begins?
Yes. Every order receives a digital PDF proof for review before entering production. We require written proof sign off to ensure layout, spelling, and placement are fully approved.
What materials do you offer for indoor and outdoor signage?
We produce signage using commercial grade substrates matched to your environment:
- Corrugated Plastic (Coroplast): Standard 4mm weather resistant fluted plastic, perfect for yard signs, real estate, directional signs, and job sites.
- Vinyl Banners: Heavyweight 13oz scrim vinyl for outdoor events and durability, or smooth 15oz or 18oz blockout vinyl for double sided hanging banners.
- Rigid Substrates: Aluminum composite material (ACM), solid aluminum, PVC or Sintra boards, and acrylic for building signs and interior lobby displays.
- Retractable Banners: Aluminum banner stands with smooth anti curl banner media, complete with carry cases.
How are vinyl banners finished for hanging?
Standard finishing includes heavy duty heat welded or taped hemmed edges on all sides for reinforced tear resistance, along with brass grommets placed roughly every 2 to 3 feet and in all four corners. Pole pockets can also be added upon request.
How long do outdoor signs and yard signs withstand UV and weather?
We use UV curable and outdoor rated inks formulated to resist fading, water, and sun exposure. 4mm Coroplast yard signs typically last 12 to 24 months outdoors depending on direct sun exposure, while heavy vinyl banners and aluminum composite signs are engineered for multi year outdoor performance.
What is the standard turnaround time for apparel?
Custom apparel orders typically take 7 to 10 working days following final proof and size approval.
What decoration methods do you offer for apparel?
Depending on your artwork, garment fabric, and quantity, we offer:
- Custom Embroidery: Ideal for polos, corporate jackets, button down shirts, caps, and outerwear. Delivers a raised, textured, long lasting executive finish.
- Screen Printing: The traditional choice for t shirts and fleece, offering vibrant spot colors with excellent durability for medium to large bulk orders.
- Direct to Film (DTF) and Heat Transfer: Excellent for full color artwork, intricate gradients, small batches, or poly blend workwear.
Can I mix and match garment sizes and shirt colors?
Yes. You can combine different shirt sizes from Small through 4XL to hit quantity tiers. You may also mix garment colors provided the ink or thread colors remain identical across the entire run.
What is embroidery digitizing, and is there a setup fee?
Digitizing is the technical process of converting a standard flat graphic file into a stitch file command structure that controls embroidery machine needles. A one time digitizing setup applies to new embroidery logos. Once digitized, your file remains on record for future reorders without recurring setup fees.
What is the turnaround time for promotional items?
Standard production for promotional products is usually 7 to 10 working days after artwork approval. Some items and manufacturers also have rush services available if you are working with a tight event deadline.
What types of promotional products can I customize?
We brand thousands of promotional merchandise categories, including:
- Branded drinkware such as tumblers, ceramic mugs, and sports bottles.
- Writing instruments and stationery including pens, journals, and sticky notes.
- Trade show giveaways like lanyards, tote bags, badge holders, and table throws.
- Tech accessories including USB drives, power banks, phone stands, and mouse pads.
- Tools, keychains, and commercial workplace giveaways.
Are there minimum order quantities on promotional items?
Yes. Most factory manufactured promotional items carry manufacturer minimums, often starting at 50, 100, or 250 units depending on the product tier. We will always outline minimum quantity breaks on your quote.
What is a vector file and why is it needed for promo branding?
Vector graphics (typically ending in .EPS, .AI, or vector .PDF) consist of scalable mathematical curves rather than pixels. Pad printing, laser engraving, and screen printing machines require vector paths to accurately position and burn print plates or program lasers without pixelation or blurriness.
What digital marketing and online solutions do you provide?
In addition to physical print and branding, we provide commercial digital services designed to help local businesses capture and manage leads:
- Custom Website Design: Mobile responsive, secure, and search optimized business websites and customer storefronts.
- AI Receptionist and Automation: Automated call, text, and chat handling systems to ensure your business never misses an inbound customer inquiry.
- Local Search and Online Listings: Managing and optimizing your business presence across Google, directories, and review platforms.
How long does a website design or redesign project take?
Most standard small to midsize business websites launch within 2 to 4 weeks. The timeline depends on the scope of the site, custom functionality requirements, and how quickly brand assets, page copy, and final feedback are provided.
Can you match my digital website design with my existing print branding?
Yes. Because we handle both commercial print and web development under one roof, we ensure brand consistency across all channels using the exact color palettes, typography, logos, and graphic assets across your cards, vehicle signage, uniforms, and website.
